On April 24th, the 29th annual Home Builder Awards were held in Toronto, where the industry gathered to celebrate the achievements and highlight the development projects that have had the greatest impact on the GTA.

Construction Starting at M5V Condominiums!

We are thrilled to be announcing yet another milestone at M5V Condominiums, the start of construction in May! M5V has become recognized as a ground-breaking project in many respects; from its innovative design and breadth of customization opportunities, to a leadership position in condominium living by ensuring that the environmental footprint it creates minimizes the impact on our earth.

We would like to send a big thank you to our home buyers who participated in our Amenity Design Charette. Through our online survey and round table design discussions, aka "The Charette" we had an opportunity to listen to how home buyers at M5V wanted to custom create their amenity space while answering the question "How Do You Live?" Home buyers had the opportunity to gather as a group, meet fellow neighbours and discuss the pros and cons of gyms, hot tubs, entertainment rooms and outdoor BBQ patios (amongst other offerings). We are well underway in fine tuning the design and providing a solution that best reflects the way M5V'ers want to live!

Mazyar Mortazavi, principal of TAS DesignBuild, an award-winning Toronto developer of condominiums and townhomes, is so committed to the green movement he has traded in his beloved Range Rover for a hybrid vehicle.

"As a builder, you have to live it, you have to breath it and you have to walk the talk," he says. "Consumer demand is forcing the housing market to change. Traditionally, developers have not been innovators in the housing market. Now, for the first time, there is this shift where they are trying to understand what is going on and introduce change before the consumer asks for it."

"This is going to be the century's major socio-cultural shift," he predicts. "It is a mindset change and the implications go far and wide."
