At TAS DesignBuild we are always interested in promoting various artistic endeavors that are in line with our philosophy of sustainability and educating our consumers. We came across this exhibit entitled "Running The Numbers" by American artist Chris Jordan and were amazed at its message as well as the artistic merit of his collection.
An integrated designer, developer and builder of quality sustainable and customizable residential urban condominiums, TAS DesignBuild has teamed up with The Green Living Show in an effort to bolster awareness of its newly unveiled Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives while continuing to be at the forefront of the ‘Green-Movement’.
Held at the Direct Energy Centre, The Green Living Show is one of today’s leading environmental showcases bringing awareness and solutions to society’s green-conscious consumers. The show is proud to announce Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as its keynote speaker. This year's theme continues The Green Living Show’s commitment to enlighten consumers about their environmental footprint, so it seems appropriate that one of the North America's most prominent defenders of the environment would keynote this important event. The show will be held from April 25-27, with Mr. Kennedy's speech scheduled for April 26 at 10:30 a.m. His speech will follow an exclusive brunch with prominent guests including Premier Dalton McGuinty, Councilor Adam Vaughan, and Mayor David Miller hosted by TAS DesignBuild.

We are excited that our principal, Mazyar Mortazavi was invited to speak at this prestigious event recently held in Vancouver. Mazyar spoke on the topic of Revitalizing Cities from Within and the importance of an over-reaching approach based on TAS DesignBuild's Four Pillars of Sustainability™ that recognizes the necessity to consider social, environmental and economic impacts as the drivers behind sustainable approaches.
Mazyar Mortazavi, principal of TAS DesignBuild, an award-winning Toronto developer of condominiums and townhomes, is so committed to the green movement he has traded in his beloved Range Rover for a hybrid vehicle.
"As a builder, you have to live it, you have to breath it and you have to walk the talk," he says. "Consumer demand is forcing the housing market to change. Traditionally, developers have not been innovators in the housing market. Now, for the first time, there is this shift where they are trying to understand what is going on and introduce change before the consumer asks for it."
"This is going to be the century's major socio-cultural shift," he predicts. "It is a mindset change and the implications go far and wide."

Time Style & Design hosted three galas during the opening week of the Toronto International Film Festival. Joanna Lee, a creative consultant at Time Style & Design, collaborated with TAS DesignBuild principal Mazyar Mortazavi to plan and execute the events. Time Style & Design associate publisher Kris Menon said the magazine’s goal was to create parties that reeked of “glamour, glamour, and more glamour.” It’s all about dazzling the Hollywood royalty, he explained. It felt like Hollywood TinselTown for lucky winners of the residential-building industry who were lauded for their efforts. Call it a wrap on the Cinematic Events, but TAS DesignBuild's collaboration with TIME Canada clearly showed signs of what could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship…
This notion of win-win collaborations was clearly expressed by both respective partners; say’s Kris Menon Associate Publisher of TIME Style & Design, “We decided to work with TAS because we felt their design was both compelling and progressive. Party guests were treated to truly star-studded affairs, with the likes of George Clooney, Danny Glover, Donald Sutherland and Leelee Sobieski topping the list of glitterati appearing at the various parties. And they entered; stepping into the backdrops of the cities’ most visually arresting designed event spaces for the cinematic events.

Design was the theme of the evening recently when TAS DesignBuild principal Mazyar Mortazavi joined up with Roy Banse, president of Fluid Living, to host a "Cinq-ŕ-Sept" event at the presentation centre for M5V Condominiums.
With future M5V residents on hand, as well as a collection of VIP guests, TAS unveiled its newly redesigned M17 model suite, featuring stunning furniture by Fluid Living. During the course of the evening, Mortazavi and Banse – two of Toronto’s top design leaders – also shared with guests the details of their design philosophies, including a combined commitment to incorporating a sensitivity to their surroundings into all of their decisions.
While Fluid Living is one of Toronto’s leading resources for furniture, home accessories and lifestyle, TAS is known for its resource-based approach to helping clients make informed choices about their suites, from the design, layout and finishes, to the furniture and trimmings. At the special event, guests found out for themselves that the two make a perfect match.
M5V Condominiums itself promises to be a stunning new design beacon on King Street West, a culmination of the philosophies of the team behind it.
