2008 Smog Summit & Green Development Best Practices Exchange

Toronto like all built-up areas, experiences the environmental impacts of urbanization, including the deterioration of air and water quality. As a concerned developer, TAS DesignBuild encourages you to learn about the many plans that are in the works for the city of Toronto by attending the 2008 Smog Summit at City Hall and having your say in what goes on in your city.
The ninth annual Smog Summit will take place on June 4th, National Clean Air Day. At the 2008 Smog Summit Federal, Provincial and Municipal government leaders will have the opportunity to announce new initiatives being undertaken in the coming year to reduce smog, air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.A Green Development Best Practices Exchange will follow the 2008 Smog Summit. Experts, government representatives and developers will gather together to highlight green development standards, incentives and practices from the GTA and beyond.
Green development is about constructing buildings and landscapes in a more environmentally friendly manner. It's development that helps to improve air and water quality, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enhance the natural environment.
